Qualifications

? Minimum 4 year degree in business or logistics - MBA preferred

? Minimum 5 years experience in analytical positions, preferably in supply chain, purchasing and/or accounting.

? APICS CIPM or CSCP certification a plus

? Excellent PC skills, foremost Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Cognos Impromptu (or other report writing tools)

? Ability to organize and lead cross functional project teams

? Ability to develop, lead and execute project plans.

? Very strong working knowledge of relational database structure and concepts.

? Oracle ERP experience highly preferred.

? Able to communicate effectively with field operations as well as upper management.

? Ability to work independently and have show initiative in a demanding environment.

? Strong interpersonal skills and ability to excel in close team environment.

 

Responsibilities

? Supply Chain Intelligence Management

? Support efforts to ensure the effectiveness of the Source Plans by performing analysis of new entries and regular reviews of the data compared to actual results.

? Extract data from databases and create reports for use by global supply chain and operations team members.

? Develop and maintain supply chain database structures.

? Assist in the development of Supply Chain e-Business opportunities in accordance with M-I SWACO?s e-Business policies.

? Contribute to the development of inventory management tools for use by operations and supply chain management users to ensure ease of access to inventory and other supply chain data.

? Maintain a working knowledge of M-I SWACO?s products and services and operational functions to facilitate effective communication with field personnel.

? Supply Chain Analysis and Reporting

? Assist in development of tools and implementation of tools needed for creation of landed cost analysis for support of new supplier development and new business development as requested by purchasing or field operations.

? Researching, analyzing and recommending necessary steps to prevent future variances related to supply chain activities (including purchase price and freight variances).

? Creation of ad hoc and regularly published reports to assist in supply chain management decisions and to benchmark supply chain performance.

? Oracle 11i Supply Chain Support

? Assist in development and training for use of tools in 11i to optimize Supply Chain Management related workflow.

? Be a subject matter expert on 11i functionality and how to apply it to M-I SWACO?s business processes.

? Assist IT in the training and implementation of new functions in Oracle 11i.

? Assist IT in the implementation of Oracle 11i for all acquisitions and existing business units.

? Other duties as assigned
