Supply Chain Leader

JOB TITLE: LEADER, SUPPLY CHAIN
JOB LOCATION: Spring Hill, TN

JOB SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Leader is responsible for the overall performance of suppliers. The Supply Base Manager will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager, the customers? Supply Chain Managers and the Supply Chain Specialists to identify, design, develop, and engineer continuous improvements in service to the client.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
1. Identify supplier process problems and utilize available resources to facilitate resolution.
2. Effectively utilizes available resources to achieve performance objectives on supplier delivery performance improvement.
3. Supervise and manage the efforts of the agency Supply Chain Specialists within team.
4. Develop positive working relationships with management personnel at supplier locations that can lead change and performance improvement.
5. Act as liaison between GMSPO activities to resolve supplier process issues.
6. Ensure ship schedules of supply base meet the expectations of the GMSPO supply chain management and the financial requirements of the GMSPO.
7. Point of contact on decisions pertaining to scrap or re-class programs.
8. Facilitate actions of the GMSPO process improvement activities with supply base.
9. Develop, review, and implement processes that improve material flow activity performance.
10. Coordinate material flow efforts to support related program efforts with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Sales, and the Dealers.
11. Coach and mentor Supply Chain Specialists to develop associates through SNI core competencies.


Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Four yr college degree preferred.
1. Experience in planning, organizing, process development, and leadership.
2. Demonstrates a clear understanding of the objectives/constraints of interdependent activities within the organization.
3. Strong understanding of profit and loss operations and activities metrics.
4. Strong computer skills. Will utilize Microsoft Office software as well as SLI and GM Systems.
5. Ability to identify supplier process problems/inhibitors and coordinate resources to enact improvement.
6. Effectively utilize available reports and forums to evaluate performance.
7. Solid negotiation skills.
8. Proven ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Understanding of process improvement tools.
