Supply Chain Management Project Manager

The Implementation Manager is responsible for supporting the start-up of medium to large complex supply chain management contracts in areas such as transportation, distribution, warehousing, networking, etc.  This includes determining customer needs and requirements (e.g., financial, operational, performance metrics), developing implementation plans and timelines, developing and implementing supply chain management solutions and services, and measuring and reporting on performance against customer expectations.  The position is also responsible for close interaction with customers, sales, IT systems support, and other Ryder project and operations personnel. This is not a day-to-day operations or an information technology position. 

 

To be successful in this position, you will need the following background and skills.

? Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or business; Masters degree is a benefit.

? Must have a PMP or similar certification and 8 or more years experience using the project management techniques in a supply chain management environment. 

? Demonstrated experience implementing complex SCM solutions from conception through to project completion. 

? Ability to develop implementation plans and manage a team to accomplish the program objectives and meet customer requirements.

? Past experience in manufacturing, transportation, or distribution; a comprehensive understanding of the entire supply chain network; and experience with business process re-engineering and continuous improvement.

? Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability in fostering teamwork and creating a positive, productive work environment.

? Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma.  Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a benefit. 

? Strong skills with MS Office products.  Experience with supply chain management, ERP, and optimization/decision support software (i2, SAP, etc.) is a benefit.
