Supply Chain Manager to $110K +

National Consumer Products Manufacturer is seeking a Supply Chain Manager for their Central New Jersey facility. The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for forecasting, inventory planning, purchasing, warehousing of raw materials, logistics and scheduling.

 

Responsibilities:

*Able to manage supply chain projects on time and within budget

*Manage and monitor order rates, inventory levels, and delivery plans

*Prepare monthly performance results for the executive management

*Develop inventory targets and order points

*Develop and manage relationships with suppliers

*Visit vendors and conduct relevant surveys to appraise their manufacturing ability

*Implement and influence best practices in supply chain disciplines

*Actively participate in supplier contract negotiations

*Develop and implement process and system improvements

 

Required:

*Bachelors Degree in Inventory Management, Operations Management or Purchasing

*Minimum of 7 years Supply Chain Management in a manufacturing environment

*In Depth knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes

*Knowledge of MRP and statistical forecasting systems is required along with demonstrated understanding of purchasing practices, supply chain management practices,

 bills of material, blue print reading and understanding, and knowledge of material control scheduling.

*Strong analytical, communication, and technical skills

*Able to work with all levels of management

*Company is moving to ORACLE; oracle skills are a plus
