ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Senior Subcontracts Administrator

' Negotiation of complex procurements in excess of $1M.
' Interpret contract law in order to compose and understand supplier/customer contracts.
' Interpret and utilize the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Act as a resource and counsel to the buying organization with respect to regulations
' Technical skill to be used as a liaison between Goodrich Engineering and perspective suppliers. Must be able to understand and relay requirements to the supplier as a single point of contact.
' Performs value engineering on commodity in concert with FUS and supplier to provide best product/best price.
' Initiate and execute teaming agreements with critical suppliers.

General Subcontract Administrator Duties:

- Develop and implement global supply chain solutions in a production environment.
- Supplier evaluation, selection and implementation to match business requirements optimizing supply chain design for specific commodities and requirements.
- leadership of supply and risk strategies to match demand driven (production) requirements resulting in lowest possible acquisition cost.
- Creation of consistent processes and the use of toolsets to support continuity of supply, flexibility, total cost and asset velocity.
- Advanced knowledge of performance based metrics to improve the relationship between the company and the suppliers to insure highest quality and on time delivery.
- Ability to identify and execute cost reduction strategies related to a commodity based program where the lowest possible cost is achieved through a combination of competitive bidding and negotiation.
- Ability to work with both internal and external manufacturing partners to drive results oriented implementations.
- Ability to work with all levels of management both inside and outside the organization.
- Ability to be resourceful and protect the long-term interests of the company by securing goods and services in a timely fashion.
- Understanding of the value purchasing and commodity management bring to a company's bottom line.
- Maintain knowledge of Team's initiatives provide Customer Service for other members of the staff when the need arises; able to read and understand the contractual work of others and answer questions in their absence.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use distribution partnerships as an inventory management strategy to fulfill production demands.
- Demonstrated ability to use ERP system such as IFS, SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Peoplesoft, etc.
- Demonstrated understanding of Federal Acquisition Guidelines, Institute of Supply Management Policies and APICS Guidelines.
- Ability to realize cost saving results through negotiation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors in Business or related field of study.
Minimum five years experience in Supply Chain role within a Manufacturing organization.
- Computer skills - Microsoft office; Word, Excel and Power Point; Interpretation of MRP.
- Purchasing experience with one or more of the following commodities: Electronics, Electro - Mechanical.
