Supply Relationship Manager

Ryder is seeking a Supply Relationship Manager who will be responsible for the following areas of the business:

 

Contract Management- Develop and manage a contract portfolio, which will entail business reviews, supplier performance management and contract renewal

Activities for executed contracts for Business Units. Approximately $30M in spends.  The candidate must be able to understand and assess trends in supplier performance and recommend/ drive corrective action. Interface with business unit point person for supplier performance and contract compliance.

 

Program Management- The successful candidate will possess the ability to develop internal and external relationships, develop reporting communications to internal customers and communicate program status to Ryder Management. Assure consistent record keeping. Audit Invoices to verify supplier compliance to contract across CBU's. Track and Report monthly savings and compliance per business unit.  Prepare Monthly summary performance reports; savings, spend, cbu compliance and supplier performance. Perform Quarterly Business Reviews with key business unit suppliers. Manage catalogs, update, etc. for Parts Master Enhancement

 

Operational Spend Analysis- conduct opportunity assessments with field personnel to identify sourcing projects, which will result in lower operational expenses.

 

Conduct Sourcing Projects- drive results through sourcing projects consisting of cross-functional representation from Ryder field teams.  Drive timelines and completion of projects throughout the specified region.

 

Contract Negotiation- Lead contract negotiations with local and regional suppliers for Ryder business units within the specified territory. Negotiates with key suppliers; develops new programs and sources based on purchasing strategy and customer needs.

 

Education/Experience/Skills/Required Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Business, economics, marketing or finance.

Minimum3-5 years experience in Purchasing

CPM preferred

Experience with Procurement and e-sourcing tools a plus.

Strong contract negotiator; develops relationships with customers and suppliers.

Strong Knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of user trust and confidence.

Ability to solve problems independently, quickly, and completely communicate them clearly to sr. management

Effective interpersonal, conflict management and communication skills in working with customers, and suppliers.

Understands legal aspect of contracts, terms and conditions.

Thorough understanding PC utilization including database tools.

Strong operations skills.
