Position Description:

The TMS Programmer / Analyst will be responsible to develop integration and process automation between our i2 Transportation Management applications and our carriers? and customers? applications.   Activities will include:

?  Design and develop customer / carrier interface applications to automate specific business practices. 

?  Consult with end-users and functional managers to analyze and define business process needs.

?  Write user and technical documentation and end user training.  Provide support.

?  Develop modular components code to provide greater flexibility with future carrier/customer applications. 

 

 

Requirements

 

The successful candidate for the TMS Programmer / Analyst  will possess the following qualifications:

 

?  Minimum three years experience, preferably in the transportation and logistics industry. 

?  Bachelor?s Degree in computer-related field or equivalent experience.

?  Disciplined approach with structured code methods. 

?  Strong experience in Java, J2SE 1.4 or above, JDBC, JNI, EJB, JMS (or other Object Oriented Programming language), SQL, .Net, XML, and EDI desired.  Experience in Oracle PL/SQL, MS Visual Studio, ASP, TIBCO, a plus. 

?  Fluent in MS Office environment, including MS Access. 

?  Superior analytical and problem solving skills.

?  Strong project management skills.  Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

?  Highly flexible.  Ability to work in a fact-paced and sometimes high-stress environment

?  Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.

?  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
