Transportation Analyst

We are looking for a Transportation Analyst to work with our Distribution department in Northwest Houston.  In this position some of your responsibilities will be the following:

 

Tender trucks for all loads in North America ensuring primary/lowest cost carriers are utilized.Obtaining volume/spot quotes on all LTL Shipments originating in North America.Creating weekly Freight Report in Microsoft Excel Assist forward companies in preparing documents for import/export Code invoices to proper General Ledger Accounts and Cost Centers Work with Sales/COS to meet customers delivery requirements Create and Update Carrier MatricesRequest POD?s & Investigate complaints with service issues

 

Ideal candidate will have the ability to create, read, analyze and interpret statistical data, technical procedures, or related business information as well as write business reports.  You will have good communication skills, strong Excel skills, andability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
