Telecom Cabling Techs Level 2:
15 Positions - Long Term Contracts
Installs, routes and terminates communications cabling in an efficient and professional manner at an intermediate skill level for Network Sustaining Services or Structured Cabling Services by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
? Installs fiber and copper cable in ceiling, conduits and raised floors; routes cable within walls and modular furniture
? Performs basic testing and troubleshooting of cable
? Terminates copper station cabling
? Reads and interprets floor plans
? Trains entry-level technicians
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, installing Cat5 and Cat6 fiber cables, perform basic testing and troubleshooting, terminate fiber cable stations, test cable and ensure accuracy of cable testing, terminate and
dress communications closets according to BICSI standards, etc.
