Business Analyst - Wireless Experience

Job Description Following standard Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and PMO methodologies, performs business analysis and project management activities in support of quality information systems projects and products.

 Essential Functions



+ Business Analysis Services: Performs analysis of business or system functions, processes, or needs. Creating and preparing gap analysis, defining project scope and/or identifying alternative business/system solutions, determining project feasibility, budget and defining functional business requirements. (45%)

+ Project Management Services: Utilizes PMO methodologies to assist in driving quality software implementations, including creating and managing MS Project plans, developing and managing project risks, success criteria, and contingencies, tracking and resolving project issues and actions, facilitates project related meetings, and communicates project status to appropriate management levels. Accountable for on-time project schedules, fully meeting the business needs, within a pre-defined budget. (30%)

+ Documentation Services: prepare and support project, procedural, and implementation related documentation. (10%)

+ PMO Methodologies. Utilization and support of PMO methodologies and practices, including business case analysis, business requirements, systems analysis and design, quality assurance, implementation, and post project review. Seeks to identify and communicate improvements to the project practices employed to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the project team(s). (10%)

+ Miscellaneous. (5%)

 Knowledge and Skills



+ Knowledge of theory, principles and practices of software development and project management.

+ Ability to understand the complexities of multiple business unit needs, simultaneously, with the ability to effectively multitask and prioritize.

+ Ability to communicate effectively in a courteous, professional manner, both in written and oral form, along with the ability to interact effectively and mentor others.

+ Ability to quickly understand the big picture, as well as address specific details.

+ Skill in planning, organizing, and directing project work to meet desired objectives.

+ Strong analytical abilities and problem solving skills, with the ability to think ?outside of the box? and arrive as solid business solutions.

+ Skill in operating personal computer and experience with MS Office software suite and MS Project preferred.

+ Knowledge of billing systems preferred

+ Knowledge of cellular industry preferred.
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality of classified information.



 Education and Experience



+ Associates degree or equivalent of three (3) years education and experience in Information Systems. Bachelors Degree preferred.

+ 2 Years software project management experience including 1 year Business process/needs analysis required.

+ 1 Years Software life cycle methodology experience preferred.
