The position requires the individual to be responsible for the site installation of dedicated wide area internet and data connections at various speeds from the network to various customer locations, worldwide. Individuals will participate in a team that is dedicated to new and emerging services/markets, and will therefore must quickly learn and adapt to new processes, tools, and technologies.
The technical function mentioned above requires advanced knowledge of:
IP and Data Routing Technology and Policies ... Network design, Routing, IP Subneting, TCP/IP protocol,(BGP, OSFP, RIP, MPLS, and EIGRP)
Security: NAT Configuration, Proxy Server, and Firewalls. OCX, T3, fractional T3, T1?s and fractional T1, E1 and Fractional E1, DSL, ATM, Frame Relay, and Voice Over-IP.
Routers, CSU/DSU, bridges, multiplexers, servers and switches configuration
Soft Skills: Strong Communications, Interpersonal, project management and Facilitation Skills, customer relationship training.
This position has the overall responsibility for the site design, router configuration, database integrity, router installation as well as customer application testing.
The individual is responsible for, but not limited to, technical data validation, site design, equipment list, IP addressing, router configuration, assessment, technical evaluation, technical troubleshooting, problem solving and application test and turn-up of the customer?s LAN applications.
Good communication skills are necessary to organize outside customers, contractors, AT&T managers and non-management personnel in order to implement the service. Additionally, the individual must have a thorough knowledge of required technical hardware such as Cisco Routers, CSU/DSU, bridges, multiplexers, servers and switches. Router configuration skills are a must. In depth knowledge of routing protocols, access types, equipment interoperability, LAN routing capabilities and voice over IP skills are a must.
Bachelor?s degree from a technical school plus a minimum of 4 years relevant work experience at the Technical Associate level or equivalent experience or Non-technical Bachelor?s degree including 12 credits in a relevant field plus typically 2* or more years relevant work experience at the Technical Associate level or equivalent experience
Rotating shifts with other team members.
