Carrier Technologies Project Manager

We are a privately-held company whose sole focus is the creation of quality information from cellular signaling data for use by government agencies and private companies. Headquartered in Atlanta, we also have product development and carrier engineering staff located in Atlanta, Montreal, and Valparaiso, Chile.  Our Company employs a highly motivated and experienced group of individuals and is led by a seasoned management team.

 

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to help expand and enhance the company's unique product offering.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

? Coordinate and manage the deployment of complex technologies for the company at wireless carriers including management of the workflow through multiple carrier departments

? Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with principal contacts at major wireless carriers in order to facilitate the timely delivery of projects

? Protect the proprietary information and trade secrets of the company and the carriers

? Coordinate the deployment of the company?s complex technology for the benefit of customers

? Act as a subject matter expert on the operation and installation of the company?s systems

? Deliver projects on-time and within budget

 

 

Job Requirements:

?  Five plus years of technical project management experience

?  Telecommunications and/or Transportation Industry experience

?  Familiarity with wireless carrier networking technology. 

?   A keen sense of how carrier organizations/companies work, and an ability to work through complex bureaucracies

?  Excellent written communications skills -- preferably with creating "industrial strength" requirements and specifications documents

?  Experience and significant comfort level working in a UNIX or Linux environment

?  Basic knowledge of networking and system administration

?  Geographic Information Systems (GIS) experience using MapInfo, ESRI, GRASS, or a similar platform

?  Working knowledge of relational databases

?  A driven, goal-oriented personality, and a willingness to take on administrative, documentation, testing, or other hands-on tasks when necessary

?  An ability to work independently, yet still provide regular and insightful communication to upper management

?  Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)

?  Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interface with personnel at all levels of an organization (both internal and external stakeholders), both verbally and in writing

?  Ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate flexibility in a fast paced environment

?  Careful analytical skills, superior attention to detail, and initiative to overcome obstacles and roadblocks

?  Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information

?  Ability to thrive in ambiguous and fast-paced environments 

?  Exceptional professional judgment and superior decision making skills.  Proven ability to work independently and exercise discretion

 

 

Education Requirements

?  Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering

?  Five plus years of technical project management experience

?  Masters or advanced Engineering Degree a plus

?  Project management certifications or training is a plus
