Job Description - please reference #004-06 (Channel Engineer)

The Channel Engineer will provide technical and business support for Camiant?s marketing and sales efforts through sales channel partners across fixed and mobile IP networks around the globe.

Responsibilities include:Providing technical and business training and support to channel partner personnelAnswering technical questions from channel partners for product planning, product fit analysis and customer RFPsWorking with partner and Camiant product management and engineering to understand and manage partner requested features and capabilitiesProviding onsite, hands-on technical support for integration with partner products at partner locations and trade shows; support at channel partner customer sites as needed

The Channel Engineer will work closely with the Director of Alliances to manage channel partner relationships, with Camiant product management and engineering to answer channel partner-related questions, and also with Camiant Sales and Sales Engineers if they are involved in a channel-related sale.

Experience/Educational Requirements

The qualified candidate should have a minimum of a bachelor?s degree, preferably in engineering or computer science or equivalent and five to ten years experience working with service provider customers in a technical or technical sales role.

Required knowledge includes:Carrier IP networks and related networking technologiesRADIUS, DIAMETER, COPS and other networking control protocolsLinux software applicationsPolicy management experience is a plus

Travel: 20-60% necessary, including International
