Job Summary:
A Construction Manager II supports and reports to the CPM on a project and oversees the field activities of the CMI and ACM. Their role is to manage site development process through the management of field personnel and third party vendors. Their duties include overseeing the bid process, coordinating the design and installation of site utilities, managing A&E and third party services, coordinating vendor procurement and material delivery, implementing project scope of work and administering construction management process. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Utility coordination ? Identify and coordinate with local utility companies to facilitate the design and installation of power and telephone services to sites. Ensure coordination between site construction and the local utility companies. Site Design Management ? Oversee the design and review process. Coordinate with other project disciplines for the timely and effective design of sites. Site Construction Management ? Manage and coordinate the field activities of the WFI site construction managers. Ensure that site construction schedules are adhered to. Responsible for keeping the Construction Project Manager updated on all field activities. Procure and evaluate site testing documentation (i.e. ground tests, sweep tests, special inspections, etc) for input into site closeout packages. Quality Assurance ? Understand the client?s specifications and oversee the administration of the quality assurance program. Ensure that site punch lists are completed in a timely manner. Client Relations/Interaction ? Interact with the client as needed and maintain good working relations. Ensure that efforts in the field by the construction managers are carried out per the client?s directions and specifications. A&E Management ? Manage and coordinate third party services. Research and understand regional or local building permit processes and prepare and submit building permit applications. Manage and coordinate site drawing ordering and review process. Procure needed surveys, tests, studies, etc. as need from third party services. Safety Management ? Understand and implement the WFI safety plan and report safety issues for resolution. Ensure that all parties in a project adhere to the safety plan. Administrative ?Maintain project files to ensure completeness. Track sites status and assist in the reporting of a project?s status to the Project Manager. Assist in the reporting of project milestones to the Construction Project Manager. Assemble necessary site documentation for site closeout package.

Education and/or Experience:Bachelor's degree preferred plus a minimum of 2 to 3 years experience with telecommunications construction. A Contractor?s License is a plus.

Other Qualifications:Ability to travel as required. Must be available for weekend work. Comfortable in self-directed environment. Ability to read and interpret documents such as zoning and Construction drawings, bids, and leases. Coherent and succinct status reports. Proficient in Microsoft Office ? Excel, Word, Project, Outlook. Understanding of e-mail and the Internet. Pursuant to rotating schedules and flexible to be on-call to meet clients needs. Ability to lift an excess of 30 pounds.
