Construction Project Manager

Global Signal Services LLC (Global), one of the country's largest telecommunication tower companies and located in sunny Sarasota, Florida,?has an immediate need for?a Construction Project Manager.? This is not a field position.?

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of tower construction upgrades and associated work on existing sites in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.? The Project Manager is responsible for job estimating, preparation of requests for quotation, receipt and evaluation of quotations, awarding of job and management of job to finish including evaluation of third party inspections of jobs.? The Project Manager is also responsible for entry of data regarding individual jobs into database and ensuring that data is accurate and up to date.? The Project Manager must be skilled at managing multiple construction jobs from remote location and managing jobs at different and varying stages of completion while ensuring job budget is met.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

?Estimates construction jobs for work on communications tower and sites and must be knowledgeable of and able to interpret structural analyses and drawings depicting such work;Must be familiar with all aspects of tower upgrade construction and alternatives to complete jobs while able to converse with structural engineers to achieve best result for the company taking into account time to complete job and pricing;Responsible for all aspects of construction work including, but not limited to, estimating, RFQ preparation, RFQ solicitation and award, and job management;Interacts with internal and external customers to convey scheduling information and job status and must have excellent customer relations skills;Works independently with little supervision to develop and implement best solutions to construction issues that arise prior to and during a construction job and must be able to do so under constant time pressures and within budgetary guidelines;Responsible for data entry and data maintenance of company database information regarding construction projects to ensure accurate management reporting both financial and performance based;Must be knowledgeable of broad range of vendors for construction services and materials and be able to accurately assess their qualifications and match for a construction job;Must be able to manage heavy project load on a daily basis in a fast paced and demanding?environment while building relationships with outside vendors to complete jobs on time and on budget; andMay require travel to job sites where construction conditions may be encountered.

Skills:Requires minimum four (4) years tower construction experience including job estimating with a preference for a combination of on-site job management experience and in-house corporate job management experience;Must demonstrate proven success in project management on both large scale and small scale tower construction and tower improvement jobs with major wireless telecommunications tower company, carrier or construction company or equivalent;Familiarity with Microsoft Project or equivalent for use in scheduling and other Microsoft office products;Team Player; andExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education:High School Degree with 5-7 years business exp., AS with 3-5 Yrs. exp.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
