Data Architect (Req 10465)

Job Description:
? The position requires a self-motivated person with strong technical, investigative and problem-solving skills who will be happy working with our other domain architects/teams to reach the best technology decisions.

? Selected candidate will be a senior staff member in the R&D department reporting to the R&D Manager.

? He/she will be a hands-on data architect and will lead a team of database professionals and will have responsibility for the design and development of the data architecture for our prestigious enterprise product while ensuring a successful timely delivery of the product.

? He/she shall develop and execute strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of the database.

? Selected candidate must have strong abilities and rich experience in designing, building and manipulating data warehouses, relational databases, OLAP databases, and multidimensional databases.

? Should have a proven track record of successfully designing and optimizing a data warehouse.

? Selected candidate shall be able to rely on experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.



Minimum Education/Experience:
? BS with 10 years experience or Masters with 6-8 years experience
? Minimum of 4-6 years experience in designing/implementing large databases and data warehouses.



Technical Skills: Data Warehouse Design and implementation, Data Mart Design, Data Architecture, Metadata Integration, Data Modeling, Relational Database Design, Dimensional Database Design, OLAP Database Design, Clustered Database Design, Load balancing, Reverse Engineering, Object Modeling, Data Administration.



Leadership Skills:
? Goal oriented
? Ability to work in a fast paced environment
? Ability to direct the work of the database team
? Ability to work co-operatively with peer teams.



Knowledge of Tools/Packages:
SQL Server 2005, DW/BI System, AllFusion Modeling Suite (ERwin Data Modeler, Data Model Validator, Model Manager, Process Modeler), Embarcadero ER Studio, Rational Rose, MetaMatrix Metabase Modeler, and Meta Integration Model Bridge.



Travel:  10-20%
