About the Position

Review TEO and site drawings, define scope, identify omissions/errors, resolve issues with Project Manager and customer engineer. Arrange for site visits, conduct site surveys, provide detailed survey reports and bill of materials required form specific projects. Complete engineering specification and bill of materials with goal of 100% on-time performance and 99% zero defect on assigned projects; work cohesively with NEC Project Manager, customer and OSWF teams to resolve issues that may arise with pre-existing conditions.

 

Qualifications

Associates degree in Electrical or Mechanical or equivalent required. Thorough Knowledge of general installation practices, standards and specifications in a Central office environment encompassing infrastructure, superstructure, power grounding, cabling, seismic zones, anchoring bracing and fire zones. Also Central office installation practices in a RBOC and carrier environment TelCordia, ATT105 and other relevant standards and specifications. Knowledge of installation for technology platforms and network elements being deployed by NEC in customer envinroment encompassing infrastructure/superstructure buildout, fiber and coaxial, intra-NE, inter-NE, power, ground, OSP, clock and NMS/OSS. Willingness to travel extensively and a knowledge of Excel and telecom standards are of some significance.
