Director/Senior Manager of Fixed Network Engineering

Description of responsibilities:

Fixed and Core Network Engineering *Manager/Director- responsible for network engineering services for the following areas:

?Core network engineering including traffic analysis, switching and subsystem planning, equipment evaluation, hardware and interface dimensioning, and facilities recommendation

?Transport and fixed network engineering for PSTN interconnection and cell site traffic backhaul, including traffic engineering and trunking design, least cost analysis, switch translations development, network design and dimensioning, SS7 link and system design, telco provisioning, and transport facility implementation for microwave, leased line, and fiber optic systems.

?Network optimization including microwave system deployment to eliminate or reduce leased line facilities, network reconfiguration and grooming for efficiency and cost reduction, traffic routing to reduce interconnection costs, and invoice and bill review to facilitate cost correction.

?General network engineering in support of all phases of IP/ATM/TDM network design and deployment, including requirements definition, metro and backbone network design, voice over packet analysis and design, and QoS technology deployment and optimization. Management responsibilities include service definition and development, business development, project management, sales support, staff development, and all group  P&Ls. 

 

Experience & skills required: 9-12 years



 

Education required (minimum): BSEE Education desired: MSEE

 

*Title of Manager/Director will be determined by level experience.
