Position Summary:
Responsibilities include providing operational and maintenance support of Intelsat Satellite Earth Stations located in Clarksburg and Hagerstown, Maryland. Ensures that the equipment, procedures and the performance of the Intelsat station meet the high standard of service for our customers and users.

Minimum Requirements:
*****This position requires ITAR Access - Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.***** Pro-actively monitor the conditions of TTC&M, NTI, DAMA, CSM, GXS Teleport and Terrestrial facilities during normal operations, including the status of system alarms of all active components in the uplink and down-link chains as well as status of systems alarms for all station plant and facility subsystems.
Pro-actively report to Intelsat Network Operations Center (NOC), Intelsat Operations Center (IOC), or Satellite Control Center (SCC) any alarm occurrences of the contracted earth station facilities or Tier 1 access connection, any alarm occurrences of the TTC&M ground network systems, NTI Equipment, DAMA, IOT or various monitoring systems which may be service affecting.
Respond to pertinent actions requested from NOC, IOC and SCC as part of Intelsat escalation procedures established for these network service, with a response time of 15 minutes or shorter;
In case of service interruption, commence as soon as practical repair and restoration actions, either as requested by controlling party or as locally determined at the facilities such as to meet a mean time to restore service of 1 hour or shorter.
Conduct any local tests on any relevant part of the facilities, upon request and under direction of controlling party, following documented diagnostic procedures.
Provide maintenance of equipment in the form of unit replacement with provided spares upon request by GFO, SCC, IOC or NOC, with a response time of 1 hour or shorter, and shall perform requested replacement activity within 4 hours;
Develop all necessary skill sets needed to properly function within the position's requirments to provide operation and maintenance to a variety of station systems.
Provide assistance with scheduled preventative maintenance routines as directed by the PMI administrator and/or shift leader


Preferred Qualifications:
Current working knowledge of Satellite Earth Station technologies relating to the operations found in a TTC&M or Data Communications facilities.
General working knowledge of ancillary plant systems such as HVAC, UPS, electrical switchgear and generating systems.
Current operating knowledge of antenna drive systems, TWTA and/or Klystron amplifiers, Up/Down Converters
Current operating knowledge of communications modems, modulators and demodulators.
Ability to use basic functions of industry standard test equipment such as spectrum analysers, frequency counters, synthesized generators, oscilloscopes, and multimeters.
Video experience is considered a plus.
Fluency in English, spoken and written.
