Entry Level/ Junior Technical Writer - Live TV and Radio Broadcast!

This is an opportunity for an entry level individual who is passionate about developing a career in high-tech documentation. The Technical Writer will be responsible for producing and maintaining documentation associated with Company's technology and product line.





Responsibilities:
Design, develop, maintain, and improve Company's operator documentation, user manuals and training materials
Coordinate with Product Development and Engineering to develop and maintain product specifications
Assist with developing documentation style guides and templates to ensure consistency
Assist in other areas as required in small company atmosphere





Position Requirements:
0-2 years of experience with software documentation
Understanding of C++, Java, Perl, and Python code is a plus
Capable of interfacing well with developers of different seniority levels to understand documentation needs and to extract technical information to create documents
Ability to thrive in dynamic, small company atmosphere
Experience or background in customer interface and support is a plus
Excellent grammar and communication skills, strong attention to detail and quality
Experience with publishing and graphics programs (such as FrameMaker, Photoshop, etc.)
Some knowledge of software development, web technologies, and multimedia
Bonus if familiar with UNIX (Linux, Solaris, HP-UX, etc.) systems administration
Bonus if familiar with TCP/IP network configuration and operations
Bachelor's degree or above in English, Journalism, Computer Science, or other related field
