FiberTower is seeking an experienced, Field Technician to support the local market team on deployment of telecommunications-related projects.

 Responsibilities

 

Statement of Job Purpose:

 The main purpose of this field position is the installation, acceptance, line-up and maintenance of microwave, multiplex, fiber optic and other auxiliary equipment that comprises the FiberTower network.  Coordination is required with Network Operations Center personnel in the isolation and clearance of network problems. Contact is required with FiberTower customers to isolate their network problems. Climbing towers and on-call for emergency repair are requirements of the job. 

 

 Qualifications

 

Experience and Education:

 

Applicant must be of a journeyman level and possess a valid driver?s license.  The applicant must have current experience in installation and maintenance of microwave, multiplex, fiber optic, voice and data networks.  Must have the requisite ability to complete all aspects of training on all network components.  Must be current in the use of Windows 2000 and remote access on personal laptop computers.
