Job Summary

Requires a background of designing, implementing and maintaining large SONET transport rings, wireless cell site backhaul networks and wireless to wireline (M-L L-M) networks. Candidate needs the ability to manage order processes of facilities carriers such as ILECs, long distance carriers etc. as well as orders for Sonet and backbone networks, interconnection, E911, CAMA and all associated trunking needed to provide wireless services. Develop and maintain records, reports, and systems necessary to track any order through the provisioning process including DLRs and FOCs. Perform capacity management, traffic analysis and make recommendations for changes based on accumulated data. Capability to perform multi-tasking. Prepare and provide network reports. Work closely with the translations manager to achieve proper call delivery and least cost routing.

 

Principle DutiesProvide analysis and capacity management of the market?s Sonet network, backbone DS3s and T1s and long distance services. Design and implement transport facilities with a focus on cost effectiveness, reliability and network quality.  Evaluate the impact of new products and services on the network. Oversee, train and provide leadership and direction to the transport team. Evaluate new technologies and their applicability to the network. Develop financial analyses and business cases to support plans Update the Fixed Network database with all T1, DS3, SONET, and interconnection information. Assists in trouble shooting of network calling issues Manage the process of placing and tracking orders with vendors for Sonet network, backbone DS3s and T1s and long distance services. Manage the process of placing and tracking orders with ILECs for interconnection, CAMA and E911 trunking. Coordinate delivery of services to cell sites with Construction Managers or project Managers

Minimum Requirements

BSEE or directly related equivalent experience; plus 5 ? 7 years of wireless telecommunications experience.
