Grave Yard Shift Provisioning Technician for Telecom Company in DTC!

National Service Activation ? Telephone Provisioning Technician, I We are looking for 35 provisioning technicians to work for a well known telecom company in the DTC! This is a 60-day temporary position paying $15-17/hour. The shift is 10:00 pm - 7:00 am!

 

Job Summary: Employee uses multiple software systems and applications to ensure customer telephony service orders are completed accurately and on-time. Employee must be able to perform a wide range of functions across a variety of technologies and service delivery applications including, Hybrid Fiber Coaxial Network, Class 5 Switches, Voice Mail Platforms, E911 ALI, IXC CARE, LIDB/CNAM, Local Number Portability applications, CMTS, and CMS Digital Voice platforms. 

 

Essential Functions of Position Include but are not limited to the following: 

?  Utilize appropriate Service Delivery systems to retrieve customer order error discrepancies.

?  Perform data analysis and apply corrective action to accurately resolve the order issues and re flow the order through the various systems, or manually complete the activities within the systems architecture to ensure the customer?s service commitment is met.  Investigate, diagnose, and isolate order discrepancies within the Provisioning systems.

?  Use Service Delivery order systems to monitor progress of pending service orders and utilize trouble-shooting techniques to resolve order jeopardizes of a simple and complex nature.

?  Maintains accurate order information notes within the service delivery systems where manual intervention is necessary to resolve the order discrepancy(s). 

?  Provides operational support to local market field technicians, operations support personnel, and other technical and business support groups, as needed, including day of installation assistance as received via in bound call center type phone calls or e-mail notifications.

?  Performs data entry as required and coordinates the resolution of order discrepancies for LNP activities for customer service orders directly with third party entry such as the ILEC?s, CLEC?s and/or Neustar. Escalate with Local Exchange Carriers (LEC?s) and CLEC?s as the need arises to resolve order issues.

?  Isolate, problem solve, & perform Switch translations in Class 5 switches, CMTS & CMS and assign circuit network paths in Host Digital Terminal and Digital Loop Carrier equipment, as necessary.

?  Isolate, problem solve, & provisions referral Cognetronics messages, and build voice mailboxes as required, and escalate with Local Exchange Carriers (LEC?s) and CLEC?s as the need arises to resolve order issues.

?  Maintains error rates of less than 2% across all functional applications, and correct E911 fallout and performs reconciliation of ALI record updates.

?  Punctual, regular and consistent attendance

 Required Qualifications

?  Minimum 6 months experience in, and direct service delivery provisioning knowledge of, the telecommunications field including telephony, Internet, switching, Local Number Portability coordination, or HFC cables systems.

?  Excellent PC Skills in Windows applications and NT environments, and proficient typing skills.

?  Willingness to work varying shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends, and ability to work overtime as needed

?  High School Diploma or equivalent.

 Additional Preferred Qualifications

?  Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent military or telecommunications work experience and 2 years experience in operations production work environment.

?  6 months or more job-related experience in answering phones, logging events, and providing technical support and coordination.

?  6 months or more work experience performing switch translations, Local Number Portability coordination work, circuit network path identification and/or pre-provisioning in Host Digital Terminal and Digital Loop Carrier systems.

?  6 months or more work experience creating and testing voice mail boxes or resolving E911, IXC CARE, LIDB/CNAM data discrepancies.
