POSITION SUMMARY: Provides administrative support in an office environment requiring a thorough knowledge of departmental policies and practices for Human Resources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:(May perform any or all of the following)

Assists with monthly New Hire Orientation - copies, make packets, reserve conference room and equipment, order lunch, coordinate with security department for keys, identification badges and parking permits as needed.
Maintain/order supplies for HR Department.
Assist with departmental projects as needed.
Provide clerical support for performance appraisal program, including tracking of appraisals due and processing merit increase letters.
Coordinate annual policy acknowledgements, i.e. Employment of Relatives, Information Security guidelines, etc.
Update and maintain personnel files.
Coordinate company functions.
Maintain/communicate department employee schedules, vacations
Completes monthly ops review and executive summary presentation materials.
Process and track all Personnel Action Notices.
Schedule, attend, and take notes at all weekly HR meetings.
Maintain and track the annual budget for the HR Department.
Process all payroll changes.
Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
EDUCATION:

High school diploma required. Specialized administrative assistant training or business school preferred.
Previous experience with Human Resources preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

2-3 years related experience in Human Resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and Powerpoint.
Proven ability to adapt quickly to shifting market or business needs.
Must understand and foster departmental confidentiality at all times.
Ability to multitask efficiently.
Must possess the ability to interact with people from all levels of the organization and represent the department effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills required.
Must have very good organizational/time management skills and be detail oriented.
