IDEN Design Engineer

 

ResponsibilitiesPerform all aspects of iDEN network designInterface with client to understand iDEN design requirementsEstablish and implement iDEN design strategyPrepare link budgetsPreliminary coverage design and release search ringsTraffic analysis and frequency planningInteract with Site Acquisition and Construction Management functionsReview site candidates based on Site Acquisition feedbackFCC/FAA filing; zoning support; review and provide supporting documentation for site approvalRF Exposure studiesSite configuration review Antenna and site parameters configuration Pre- and post-construction checks to verify as-built site compliance

 

Qualifications:Two years minimum of iDEN design experienceMust have strong knowledge of iDEN technology, parameters and protocolsMust have strong experience in designing iDEN networks Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient with RF planning tools (Planet EV and/or Wizard preferred)Proficient with MapInfoAbility to work independently and within a team in a cross-functional environmentAbility to produce measurable results within a complex multi-tasking, rapidly changing work environmentEffective prioritization and organizational skills

 

IDEN Performance Engineer

 

Responsibilities:Perform all aspects of iDEN network optimizationInterface with client to understand iDEN network performance targetsEstablish and implement iDEN optimization strategyPrepare drive routes and coordinate drive test teamsAnalysis of dropped calls, congestion, expansion needsRecommendations to improve KPIs

 

Qualifications:Two years minimum of iDEN optimization experienceMust have strong knowledge of iDEN technology, parameters and protocolsMust have strong experience in optimizing iDEN networksExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsUnderstanding of RF optimization planning tools including data collection (e.g. TEMS, Agilent, Invex) and post-processing (e.g. Actix)Proficient with MapInfoAbility to work independently and within a team in a cross-functional environmentAbility to produce measurable results within a complex multi-tasking, rapidly changing work environmentEffective prioritization and organizational skills
