Installation Coordinator
Founded in 1991, TelCove is a leading provider of business critical telecommunications services that offers enterprise companies and carriers superior Internet, Data, and Voice solutions via its reliable, secure and independently-owned metropolitan and intercity fiber-optic network in 70 markets in the eastern half of the United States. We are always searching for qualified professionals to share in our steady growth. Currently, we are looking for an Installation Coordinator to be based in or near Tampa, FL.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for ensuring order processing of LNP orders of TelCove customer installs. Coordinate installation activities and track assigned orders through the LNP system. This person will also serve as the primary customer contact for installation questions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Install Coordinator serves two primary functions: (1)Responsible for the maintaining, tracking and processing of all local number portability for the market. (2)Responsible for coordinating all service installation activity for the market between operations, sales, the customer, and the customer vendor. This also includes customer interfacing on issues and questions regarding the installation process. The employee will serve as a coordinator and interface with internal departments relating to installation activities. The employee will also interface and coordinate installation dates with the TelCove customer and customer vendor. The employee will send and receives orders for local number ports and manage the LNP process for the market. The employee communicates dates and installation process steps to the customer and works with the installation team to ensure a smooth transition.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Member of market team, working with customers and operations on the installation of service. Receive and process all orders for local number portability. Manage LSR database for the market. Coordinate all activities associated with the installation process. This includes internal coordination as well as customer and customer vendor coordination. Track and communicate installation dates for all market orders. Schedule vendor site meetings when needed. Participate with other TelCove departments, as required, to review and improve systems, processes and services. Communicate to the customer the trouble reporting process and escalation procedures. Customer follow up on the status and completion of all installation to ensure customer satisfaction. Strong verbal and interpersonal skills. Inform supervisor in a clear, concise, and timely manner of any unresolved customer or technical issues. Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times. Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident.
HUMAN RELATIONS SKILLS:
The employee must have good written and oral communications skills. Must have good interpersonal skills necessary to interface effectively with other departments and with the customer in achieving the goal of getting services installed in the most efficient and quality manner.
PROBLEM SOLVING:
Must have analytical skills and knowledge of the company's products, services, systems, and procedures required to resolve problems and issues that might otherwise delay the ordering and installation of TelCove products and services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
Minimum of 2-3 years telecommunications support experience or 2-3 years experience in a related industry in a similar position with experience in telecommunications. Working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing applications, preferably Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of the technologies associated with products and services sold by TelCove and the business applications for these technologies. Know and understand the responsibilities of each department involved in the installation process. Know the local number portability system. Must demonstrate abilities in interfacing directly with moderately high-level customer and vendor contacts and effective writing skills. Must have good written and oral communications skills. Must have good interpersonal skills necessary to interface effectively with other departments and with the customer in achieving the goal of getting services installed in the most efficient and quality manner.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to use the telephone and computer terminal, move about effectively, filings and other tasks. Must be able to communicate effectively. Training and minimal travel may occur as needed.
