Installation of cable in homes, apartment buildings and commercial accounts. Repair, troubleshooting and maintenance of multiple dwelling systems.

REQUIREMENTS:
May perform any of all of the following duties:

Perform necessary operations dealing with the cable system and subscriber.

Install descrambling devices, converters and secondary outlets.

Demonstrate and explain converter operation to subscriber.

Collect or exchange converters and collect funds from subscribers as required.

Operate necessary hand tools and vehicles as required.

May climb poles and/or ladders.

Must be able to work staggered shift (i.e. Monday through Friday and Tuesday through Saturday)

Work in inclement weather.

Work in attics and crawlspaces; the ability to climb and handle ladders up to 40 feet in height and 70 lbs., ability to climb poles.

Ability to work overtime as needed.

Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.

Qualifications

High school diploma or the recognized equivalent in work experience or self-study.

Cable installation experience preferred.

Valid NJ driver's license with good driving record.

3 months to 1 year as installer trainee or with CATV or related technical exposure.

Customer contact skills.
