Instructional Designer

Job Description:
Manage all key aspects of the instructional design process, from project scoping and planning through to course deployment and evaluation. Communicating with appropriate departments within all levels of Sales regarding project material, subject matter, and deadlines is a requirement.

Manage multiple design projects using sound project management tools and methodologies.
Represent Learning & Development at ?Go-to-Market? or Project meetings as required.
Secure content from vendors, marketing and other parties as needed for course development.
Review, edit and re-design existing curriculum as needed.
Design, pilot and launch new curriculum as needed.
Proactively seek new ways to manage train the trainer roll outs, and conduct program effectiveness reviews.
Work with subject matter experts to proactively partner to obtain and validate courseware content.
Partner with Implementation Managers to effectively implement training solutions.
Work with members of the design team to meet design goals efficiently, effectively, and within the specified time frame and budget while exceeding stake holders? expectations.
Offer performance consulting solutions and strategies.

Minimum Required Skills / Competencies:
Strong interpersonal communication skills required.
Strong writing and editing skills.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment and work within aggressive timeframes.
Solid project planning and management skills.
Good working knowledge of MS Office applications, including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Foundational understanding of desktop publishing tools.
Working knowledge of distance learning applications preferred.
Experience using Macromedia Breeze and Captivate. Experience using Web Authoring tools (Authorware, Dreamweaver, Flash, etc..) preferred.
