Position: Junior Infrastructure Engineer

 

  Junior Infrastructure Engineer role for Microsoft environment (Win 2k/2003, Active Directory 2003, and Exchange 2003) with (~ 90) servers in the data center. The candidate must be a confident, team player, able to work the day or evening cycle as needed and communicate issues and needs in a precise fashion. For the right candidate this position offers a strong area of growth and opportunity to expand their skill sets. The individual should be highly motivated, show initiative, confidence in sharing their opinions, communicate effectively with colleagues and management, and bring to collective IT organization the respect and values that group efforts require.

 

Requirements:

 

Candidate should have 3+ years of Windows Engineering/OS support experience in a networked environment with Windows2K/2003/Active Directory.  Checkpoint Firewalls NG + AI, Intrusion Detection experiences a big plus.

 

Core Requirements: 

Technical

? Strong knowledge of the Windows 2000/2003 operating system and server support experience in an enterprise environment.

? Knowledge of MS Active Directory in an enterprise environment.

? Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, Out Look, Access)

? Checkpoint Firewalls NG + AI, Intrusion Detection experience a plus.

? Exchange 2003 experience is a big plus.

? MCSE a strong plus.

? BA/BS Degree in CS preferred.

General

? Help Desk (third tier)

? Excellent verbal and written skills

? Be detail oriented and have the ability to troubleshoot technology issues in a multi-tier environment and quickly remediate issues.

? The ability to follow and author or improve written Standard Operating Procedures as required.

? The desire to work in a SoX compliant environment.

 

Education:

 

Bachelor of Science and/or Microsoft certification (or equivalent work experience).
