We are currently seeking a  Lead Project Manager at our Rochester, NY Location.

 

 

The Lead Project Manager will Project Manage domestic and international projects requiring system design, system integration and/or installation and commissioning utilizing MDS products and other telecommunications equipment and peripherals. Secures orders through a formal tender, direct communications with potential Customers, indirectly via communications with a consultant, or by assisting the MDS Sales staff. Provide primary engineering input to Customer requirements and provide guidance to lower level engineers and other staff assigned to a project.  Duties Include:

 

? Manage all assigned projects, domestic and international using proper Project management skills, techniques and tools.

? Manage domestic and international proposals including the financial and technical bid strategy.  On major opportunities this may include attending bidder conferences, pre-award site surveys, strategy and pricing meetings with primes.

? Manage the preparation of technical proposals and pricing.  This includes delegating technical assignments to individuals within or outside of the department, developing a project bill of materials, working with purchasing to obtain pricing for OEM equipment and preparing engineering cost estimates.

 

Ideal candidate must have a Bachelor or Science degree in a related field with 6 years experience.
