MANAGER - EAST COAST OPERATIONS

Intelliverse,  a leading provider of enhanced communications services, currently has an opening for a Manager - East Coast Operations located in Atlanta, GA.

 

SUMMARY

Responsible for day to day operations of our Atlanta operations data center. Atlanta data center network includes Voice over I.P., local services, private line, long distance, toll free, and Internet access. Atlanta data center network supports multiple platforms including tandem class-4 telephony switches, SIP-based VoIP, IVR, Voice Mail and Calling Card platforms. The Atlanta data center team is responsible for maintaining 99.999% up-time on all in-house systems as well as supporting remote sites, and interfacing with NOC, Information Services and LAN/WAN personnel for trouble ticket resolution.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following; other duties may be assigned as required by business needs.

 

1. Manage Atlanta data center team in all areas of responsibility.

2.  Work closely with Director of Operations for all network facilities, equipment deployment and maintenance duties.

3. Provide day to day direction for Atlanta data center team members, assuring assigned projects are completed on-time and within budget.

4. Maintain and manage Atlanta data center team schedules, assuring adequate site coverage at all times.

5. Perform yearly data center employee reviews, motivate and train team members as required.

6.Participate in weekly management team and project review meetings.

7. Oversee and ensure accurate execution of directives received from Director of Operations.

8.Interface with Telco and equipment vendors during service outages / ticket resolution as needed.

9.Ensure accurate monitoring and statistical tracking of platform performance.

10. Interface with Network Engineering and Information System teams for error reporting / issue resolution, providing assistance as needed.

11.  Maintain accurate data center network and equipment documentation.

12. Interface with Telco vendors for facilities turn-up and management.

13. Interface with equipment vendors for deployment and management.

14. Provide support for network grooming and assist in disconnect/reconfigure facilities and platforms as necessary.

15.  Manage projects and relationships with contractors on infrastructure build-out and tear-downs.

16. Interface with building management and co-ordinate vendor access as required.



QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of three years telecom data center and team management experience.

High level knowledge of systems, software and database applications with specific knowledge in IVR, voice mail and calling card environments, emphasis on VoIP services and platforms.

Experience and knowledge of telephony switches and data networks.

Ideal candidate will posses a diverse background in traditional and leading-edge voice and data circuitry and platforms with specific knowledge of VoIP and local services.

Strong email and verbal communications skills required.

Strong project and personnel management skills required.





 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma

Three years related job experience or college degree in related field

Minimum three years telecom data center and team management experience

Effective writing and verbal communication skills

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Day to day management of four Atlanta data center team members
