The responsibilities for this position include:

?  Employs technical and administrative expertise in the design and development of specifications for data communications systems, including designing, managing and operating broadband and baseband transmission systems. 

?  Oversee the design, planning and installation of communication links within the company and with our business partners, etc.

?  Plans and directs telecommunications projects including the installation and testing of new communications systems, which require technical and financial assessments including evaluation of contractors, software, equipment and vendor products.

?  Maintains overall responsibility for the uninterrupted operation of the organization?s communications systems.  Providing daily status reports on all systems.

?  Manage a technical staff of engineers, technicians and analysts responsible for the daily administration and maintenance of the Local, Wide Area and Voice communications networks.

?  Interface on a regular base with the IT Security Architect.

 

The qualifications for this position include:

?  Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, with Cisco certifications is preferred.

?  Healthcare experience with HIPPA security knowledge would be a plus.

?  Minimum 7 years of experience in Local Area Network (LAN), and Wide Area Networks (WAN), systems management, analysis and design and/or data processing management.

?  Minimum 3 years of management experience.

?  Experience in network design and engineering concepts utilizing frame relay, ATM, voice-over IP, in a Cisco network environment.

?  Experience in network security and firewall concepts, utilizing Cisco PIX and IDS.

?  Experience with IBM mainframe connectivity utilizing SNA and VTAM.

?  Excellent interpersonal, communication skills
