Duties:
Develop content and programming approach for gaming channel. Determine which games will be accepted, highlighted on the catalog and recommended for inclusion in marketing initiatives. Work with developer community to add new games that highlight our advanced network capabilities such as EVDO, 3G, Flash and Location Based Services.

Manage all ongoing relationships with key game publishers, developers and application partners, including service creation, enhancement, developments and upgrades. Assist with development of partner marketing programs, facilitate approval process for brand and logo use with partner marketing, and manage MDF programs. Support product enhancements and develop programming strategies for new growth areas.


Work with Programming team to identify categories of games that are saturated or in need of incremental content. Work with the games developer community to fill those needs.

Responsible for the identification, development and guidance of Verizon Wireless self-published games. Select and work with a developer to produce approve and distribute mobile games under the Verizon Wireless Brand.

Manage by influence various departments in the evaluation of partners, new gaming platforms, and applications.

Serve as external contact and executive relationship owner for overall business relationships with named games partners.
-Create, develop, execute and drive external and industry perceptions of Verizon Wireless as a leader in the mobile and gaming industries. This will include public speaking engagements at industry trade events.


Develop, execute and manage relationships with games producers, developers and publishers . Identify applications and content for entertainment category. Develop and prove business case models to bring closure to national contracts that may include the following elements: marketing, technology, advertising, placement. Represents the Verizon Wireless Programming team at conferences (including E3 and Games Developer Conference) as participant and or speaker to evangelize development for our wireless data products. Manage business relationships both internally and externally once executed

Relationship Management of strategic partners that result from closed contractual relationships. Relationship owner and internal steward for game content and application partners; including managing applications through the queue and communicating status to partners. Responsible for building key executive partnerships year over year to drive increases in profitability . Create opportunities to leverage game partners into other products on both the voice and data sides of Verizon Wireless.

Evaluate new entertainment businesses for medium range entry by VZW. This evaluation will span the perspectives of: customer, business, legal, industry and financial. Present strategic recommendations to Data Division executives. . Aggregation of industry research for new games related businesses, such as flash gaming, community gaming, multiplayer and 3D. Project lead through evaluation and commercialization processes. Creation and execution of initial business hypothesis. Manage the coordination of research with marketing, product development, and Finance . Managing various groups internally and externally with conflicting objectives and viewpoints to a final recommendation

Creation and execution of programming and content strategy for games channel . Determine which applications will get highlighted in each category, determine categorization of games, work with team in determining acceptance criteria for new applications.. Recommendation of go/no go based on game quality, uniqueness of the application, and functionality.. Responsible for mining data from our reporting systems to support programming decisions; run games-specific reports in order to effectively manage the business

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
. Education: B.A. /B.S.
. Experience: 3-5 years in technology, media or games industries managing external executive relationships / perceptions, marketing experience. Experience producing content, 1 year account management or business development experience, Public speaking / large audience presentations.
. Other: Gaming and / or software industry experience (PC / console gaming, web) Strategic Planning, Business Development, E-Business strategies and models, Program Management, Financial Analysis/Business Case Development, Internet Applications experience, Account Management / Sales experience.
