Material Science Engineer - Materials/RF Engineer/Electrical 50-100 K/yr

Client in MD is ready to hire a MID LEVEL or SR. LEVEL Materials Engineer. The candidate will be responsible for Supplier Selection and Part Approval for high-end RF components and assisting Procurement in baselining Critical Part Suppliers. Typical components to include Antennas, LNB's, TRIA's and Power Amplifiers. Familiarity with Process Capability concepts and skill in utilizing these methods in the selection and approval processes is a must. Candidate will interface directly with Design Engineers in the new product development stage to assist in attaining Production Stability. The likely candidate will also serve as the liaison between Design and Manufacturing organizations whether it is in-house(Operations) or Contract Manufacturers. Responsible for annual Material and Labor Cost reductions by key products. Experience with failure resolution following Root Cause Analysis and knowledge of Corrective and Preventative Action techniques is desired. Will be required to support Six Sigma goals for suppliers and in-house manufacturing.
BSEE is required.
