Network Engineer RCATS Performance and Testing

Summary

 

My Client, a National Wireless carrier is looking for a Network Engineer with

strong technical skills and solid understanding of RCATS and performance

testing probe systems used in TDMA, GSM, and UMTS network environments.

 

The Role

 

The successful candidate will work independently with little direction but will collaborate with
Headquarters, National, Regional, and Market staff, Product Realization, IT, Supply
Chain, Vendors, and other stakeholders to develop complex network engineering
and operational standards, operational models, policies, procedures, and
documentation.

 

Qualifications/Experience:

 

This position requires a Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent experience with two to five
years network, field engineering, or operational experience with TDMA, GSM, and
UMTS technology. Experience with Casabyte (RCATS) and Tektronix (GeoProbe)
products is highly desirable. Must have a broad understanding of all aspects of
network engineering, operations, and optimization including voice and data core
systems, fault management, remote testing, OAM, OSS, and support systems.
Project Management experience is desired. This position requires the ability to
negotiate and seek consensus taking various viewpoints into consideration while
working across multiple organizational boundaries. Proficiency at solving technical,
business, and people-related problems along with the ability to adapt current policy
and standards to changing technologies is desirable. Candidate should have
excellent technical writing, verbal communication, organizational, and time
management skills.
