Network Engineer to $80k+ -

Job Description: Networking company has an immediate need for two Networking Engineer positions. The company is looking for individuals to be responsible for the professional and efficient completion of all network integration tasks. Will report to the Manager of Networking Engineering. One position is for a Senior level Networking Engineer that will be responsible to participate at a higher level then Networking Engineers in that they are responsible for higher level designs, more advances troubleshooting and acting as a team leader. Responsibilities include:
. Perform designs of IP addressing, network security, Internet access, e-mail, DNS, NT related services, disaster recovery, content filtering, power considerations, remote access
. Must demonstrate an understanding of Ethernet frames, frame switching, Ether types, T-1, DS-3, PPP, Frame Relay
. Master an assigned discipline within our technical offering (i.e. video, security network management, remote access, routing)
. Clearly define scopes of work and Bills of Material (using MS Word, Project and Excel)
. Develop design schematics (using Visio, MS PowerPoint and sketches)
. Attain quick problem resolution during implementation and/or troubleshooting of systems. (Using the prepaid agreements and manuals that NIC has collected and subscribed to)
. Perform the scopes of work as detailed in the implementation plans assigned to you. (system builds, test plans, documentation, training, etc)
. Utilize products correctly and to the degree required by the customers and manufacturer
. Conduct training of customers and company employees. (in both formal and informal environments)
. File all appropriate documentation and appropriate reports as assigned
. Handle multiple tasks at one time (i.e. pre sales designs, troubleshoot and develop internal network, respond to network down emergencies)
. Communicate with the Engineering Manager all events that are not anticipated (new product requirements, equipment failure, design changes, schedule changes)
. Handle work orders as assigned via Remedy. Maintain the Service Level as indicated.
