Network Services Engineer

We are currently looking for a Network Services Engineer to orovide technical expertise to clients regarding design, installation, maintenance, and operation of client company's systems and local area networks. This position will address internal and client end user requests and issues, attempting to provide resolution or coordinating resolution with IT staff and/or outside support vendors and/or customers as appropriate.

Responsibilities include: providing desktop support to RGTS end users and external clients; installing and configuring Windows based desktops and desktop applications; implementings infrastructure (Cisco routers/switches), servers and desktops; designings and implements client LAN infrastructure; designing/implementing/supporting Windows 2000/2003 Servers within RGTS and client offices; designing and implementing Microsoft Exchange Servers, Veritas BackupExec, Norton Anti-Virus; acting as RGTS consultant to assist clients in selecting and implementing new technologies or enhancements to current systems; providing 24 hours day/7 days week on-call support on a rotating basis.

Qualification Requirements:BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fieldMCSE a plusMinimum four (4) years LAN design, implementation and support experienceMinimum four (4) years systems experience with actual hands-on troubleshooting, systems setup and configuration Project development and management skills requiredAbility to troubleshoot and solve problems effectivelyMust be willing to be on-call during scheduled after hours routines and make an effort to be available for issues that may occur outside the regular work dayMust have strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server Operating systems and the following applications:Windows 2000/2003 ServerExchange 2000/2003Veritas NetBackupSymantec AntivirusBlackBerry Enterprise ServerExperience with the following a plus:Manageable Cisco SwitchesCisco PIX FirewallCisco Routers
