Onsite Telecommunication Tower Inspector

Job Description:
INITIAL ASSIGNMENT IS THROUGH THE FAIRFAX COUNTY VIRGINIA OFFICE TO REMOTE LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES

This position requires a highly energetic, detail oriented individual with 10+ years of experience performing telecommunication tower inspection services at remote locations. This individual must be a self
starter and be able to maintain organized records. This individual will interface with the client while performing annual post construction quality inspections of television/telecommunication towers up to 2,000
feet in height. The onsite inspector will review all specifications, drawings, schematics and other information on the towers as well as perform on-site inspection of the towers to confirm they are maintained in accordance with the design and specifications such that a statement of standards and compliance can be written.
Responsibilities will include preparing and maintaining organized records for each tower which will includes, but is not limited to quality control data, photos of the towers, inspection reports and other information to ensure and confirm structural integrity and compliance.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

10+ years experience and a demonstrated working knowledge of the respective industry and corresponding construction, maintenance, and structural integrity requirements. Must have good communication, decision making, planning and organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.

The individual must be physically fit enough to climb the towers for inspection purposes.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

P.E. certification is desirable.
