Description: Job Summary: Under general or direct supervision, maintains, tests, and services telephony, high-speed internet, Fibernet, HFC, CATV and other equipment with associated plant facilities and distribution systems. Tests, troubleshoots, rearranges, removes, repairs, and maintains all types of distribution facilities and systems. Provides the efficient delivery and service of the product line into the customer site and provides the necessary education to maintain customer satisfaction.

Accountabilities:
o Assists in the maintenance and repair of voice, data, telephony and video communication systems at off-site base stations and other sites up to and including work at the customers? premises.
o Troubleshoots and resolves problems as appropriate.
o Provides excellent service to both internal and external customers.
o Reads and understands system maps, plans and other visuals related to maintenance and service.
o Operates, maintains, and stores all company equipment to company standards (i.e. vehicle, tools, materials, and stock.)
o Interacts with other technicians and field systems supervisors.
o Records transactions and assignments in appropriate computer databases and spreadsheets.
o Performs daily signal leakage detection and repair.
o Performs simple construction repairs.
o Sets pedestals and cabinets.
o Performs CLI repairs and monitoring.
o Performs RF measurement.
o Places/replaces ground/bond.
o Reports or arranges for vehicle repair as needed.
o Reports accidents, losses, injuries, or property damage to supervisor.
o Performs other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
o A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Trade school education highly desirable.
o Broadband specialists may be required to have one year experience in related field.
o Must be able to perform strenuous manual labor to include, but not limited to, lifting 100 pounds over head and digging for extended periods of time.
o Demonstrates ability to comprehend complex problems and formulate a solution with the full understanding of required by specialty.
o Requires strong interpersonal skills including the ability to have a pleasant, courteous, and business-like appearance and approach in dealing with customers.
o Must be willing to work various shifts including weekends, late nights, inclement weather, etc.
o Must be able to work independently and as a group.
o Requires a valid driver?s license and a good driving record.
