We are a developer and provider of high-performance broadband customer-premises networking equipment and carrier-class software for the remote management of broadband services and equipment. We also develop and provide broadband-enabled services and remote-management software for enterprises' technical support, help desks, and personal computers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop leading edge embedded software for residential, SOHO and distributed enterprise networking devices. This position involves all phases of the design cycle from interpreting requirements through design, implementation, testing and maintenance of embedded software. The ideal candidate would be adept at embedded network protocol stack development in both embedded real time kernel and UNIX/Linux environment, as well as be interested in staying abreast of the latest developments in protocol standards (IETF, IEEE, ITU, DSL Forum, etc.) as they unfold. A thorough understanding of networking protocols implementation is required.
QUALIFICATIONS:BSCS or BSEE degree. Masters preferred.Minimum 10 years of working experience in the networking industry.In-depth knowledge of protocol implementation with expertise and implementation experience in at least five of the following protocols and technologies: IP/UDP/TCP, NAT/ALG, Firewall, VPN(IPSec), DHCP, DNS, 802.1x, 802.1p/q, RADIUS, RIP/2, PPPoE, PPPoA, ATM and DiffServ.Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem solving skills. Specific emphasis will be placed on the ability to diagnose and isolate system and network issues as well as system performance analysis.Proven record of successful embedded software development.Expert knowledge of ANSI C and revision control systems such as CVS. Knowledge of defect tracking software such as Bugzilla a plus. Proven knowledge of reliable and robust coding practice for the development of highly reliable embedded systems on multiple CPU platforms.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Must be self-motivated and directed to work with minimal supervision.
