Product Line Manager

Nortel is looking for an experienced business manager with expertise in Multimedia Applications (Contact Center, Self Service, and/or Unified Communications) to drive product strategies for the Multimedia Applications portfolio. You will leverage your strong customer and market knowledge, business acumen, and technical background to help drive market penetration and success of Nortel's industry-leading Multimedia Applications portfolio.
The Product Line Manager has global accountability for product evolution and complete life cycle.

?Responsibilities Include:
? - Managing product through product life cycle
? - Build business cases that drive the introduction of new products
? - Managing product road map
? - Set product direction based on needs of customers and partners
? - Provide expert product knowledge to Customers, Partners and Nortel groups.
? - Collaborating with Customers, Partners, Sales and internal Nortel groups to gather requirements and drive new product ideas.

Qualifications:
- University degree in business, computer science, or engineering, MBA highly desired
- 5+ years of managing successful products in the Telecommunications industry
- Proven track record in managing successful product lines
- Knowledge of Contact Center, Self Service, and/or Unified Communications (Messaging or conferencing) portfolios
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in effectively managing in a matrixed environment
- Ability to translate requirements to meet market, channel, and customer needs
- Strong marketing and presentation skills highly desired

Additional Skills:
- Voice, application, and/or data networking background
- Product marketing, sales, and/or channel marketing highly desirable
- Negotiation skills
