? Management of High Speed Laser Transmitter Packaging Production Line, including both existing and new products.

? Responsible for deploying technology, expanding capacity, and developing the operation into a highly reliable supplier of optical transmitters for telecommunication industry. 

? Drive manufacturing metrics such as cost, quality, cycle time and new product deployment. 

? Ensure effective planning of the operations.

? Develop and motivate a dynamic work force.

? Meet daily build schedules, establish, prioritize and monitor build schedules

? Identify and help resolve current and potential material issues

? Meet on-time shipment goals

? Monitor and improve Quality Levels

? Insure ISO 9000 Certification requirements are achieved

? Improve production flow and throughput.

?  Manage daily resource capacity requirements

? Evaluate and improve performance of direct labor where required

? Provide training to improve employee skills and enhance employee morale

? In conjunction with Purchasing/Stockroom, insure all material is available to meet production requirements

? Evaluate, qualify and implement new processes and equipment for pilot line manufacturing of new products Job Requirements

? Proven knowledge of laser packaging including Die attach, Wire bond, Epoxy, Solder and laser welding of optical components, seam sealing, fiber pigtail attach and leak test.

? BS degree in related fields such as EE, ME, Materials Science or Physics, a MS degree is preferred.

? 10+ years of industry related experience, including 5+ years of proven and successful back end operational management experience.

?  Strong knowledge of the various manufacturing approaches for optimizing cost, quality, and operational goals. 

?  Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
