Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager

Mangrove Systems is seeking an experienced Quality Manager for their Connecticut-based facility.  The successful candidate should have at least 10 years of industry related experience in a quality management/quality engineering role, complemented by excellent technical, planning, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.  Specific position details are as follows:

 

Responsibilities include:

 

? Develop and Maintain ISO-9001 and TL-9000 systems and practices

? Ensure successful roll-out of new products by participating in and reviewing the Life Cycle Management process deliverables (design plans, test plans, operational plans, etc)

? Promote quality culture and policies by training production and office personnel in various quality disciplines

? Maintain and improve the in-process and final inspection activities within the operations department

? Mitigate any customer issues by assigning appropriate resources to fix the problem and ensure thorough corrective actions have been implemented

? Maintain and improve supplier quality processes including; supplier review and approval, material review board, non-conforming data analysis, and supplier continuous improvement teams

? Maintain operational performance metrics

? Work with multiple suppliers and internal departments on system standardization and best practices

? Directly interact with commercial representatives and customers to provide information and resolve product/process quality related issues

 

Education/Training: 

 

? Bachelors Degree- Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

? Minimum 7 years of QA/QE experience in a manufacturing environment (telecommunications industry).

? Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Six-Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) is a plus

 

Skills/Knowledge:

 

? Thorough understanding and experience dealing with ISO-9000-1 and TL-9000 Quality Systems

? Solid experience in telecommunications and/or data communications equipment

? Experience in manufacturing test, rework and assembly environments

? Must have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills as this position will be required to interact with all levels throughout the organization and also external entities

? Must have demonstrated documentation skills and expert knowledge in MS-Office tools

? Managerial experience with responsibility for staff members

? Knowledgeable in Statistical and Quality Engineering Methodologies

? Experience supporting design engineering projects and supplier quality initiatives

? Experience working in a Six-Sigma, Lean Manufacturing environment

? Background in directly and effectively interacting with customers
