Regional Electronic Component Sales Manager

Position Summary:

The Regional Sales Manger (RSM) is responsible for managing all attributes of the business in the western United States and Canada, Americas West Region.  The position is a key, quota-carrying, (initially) individual contributor role.  The RSM will manage and coordinate the activities of all Channel Sales Managers and Sales Engineers in the region. Duties will include sales of product to clients, support activities, working with value added reseller channels along with identifying and hiring manufacturers representatives to improve visibility in key customer/geographic areas.

 

The ideal candidate will possess an excellent understanding of microwave radios, specifically voltage controlled oscillators and frequency synthesizers.  The candidate should have knowledge of our key markets, wireless base station,  test equipment, and point to point/multipoint radio markets. The RSM should have the ability to understand new technologies and be self-motivated to keep up with industry events. Compensation is competitive and includes base salary, commission, and bonuses. Responsibilities:Maintain and grow the business (including refinement and execution of the sales strategy, identification and nurturing of leads, closing deals, etc). Manage all attributes of day-to-day CALA sales development. Develop in-depth knowledge of our products and ability to highlight our solution over our competitor?s products.  Take predominant responsibility for all sales and support activities. (including managing distribution and manufacturers representatives within your region). Maintain and Establish key business relationships, identification of potential customers? business needs, advising customers of our value .Deliver consistent and on-plan revenue utilizing our internal opportunities and forecasting tools.Represent the Company at appropriate events (e.g. sales conferences). Perform other duties TBD as required at the direction of senior staff.

 

 Position RequirementsBachelor's degree or equivalent.  EE preferred. 5+ years successful technology sales experience. Consistent track record of penetrating new accounts and exceeding goals?a hunter, not a farmer. Excellent oral and written interpersonal and communication skills needed to engage both technical and business client executives. Strong organizational skills, work ethic and self-motivation. Professional maturity (demonstrated solid judgment in difficult situations). Technical aptitude, resourcefulness, and a desire to learn. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy team environment. Realistic forward-thinking, aggressive, can-do attitude and drive. Proficiency with MS Outlook?, Excel?, Word?, Visio?.Ability to travel up to 50%
