SYSTEMS NETWORK ANALYST III – TELECOMMUNICATIONS

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in computer science, engineering or related field; four (4) years experience in supporting users and analyzing computer systems in a telecommunications environment; including IT project management; installing/maintaining Nortel phone systems; or any equivalent combination of relevant training and experience. 

Desired candidate must have 4 (four) years telecommunications experience installing, maintaining and configuring NORTEL phone systems such as; Norstar Key Systems, BCM, PBX, Meridian Voice Mail and the Symposium Call Center Application. 

Candidate must have good verbal and written communication and presentation skills and the capability to adapt and be flexible within a demanding and changing work environment.

Position Highlights include:

PROJECT MANAGEMENT:  Provides senior project management coordinating schedules, deliverables and projects with all Telecom resources.  Manages large scale Telecom practices.  Supervises on going projects, works through issues and identifies solutions.  Develops project charters, project plans, communication plans, change controls, budge estimates, and project progress reports.

 TECHNICAL:  Independently performs installations of new Telecom systems, reconfigures and troubleshoots existing systems, to include ongoing maintenance and support.  Monitors systems and networks for optimal operation and follows through with resolution of trouble reports.  Updates tickets according to policies and procedures.  Independently reviews and evaluates customer business requirements, and provides senior engineering solutions that will satisfy said needs.  This includes analyzing existing systems in place through physical and logical inventorying, customer interviews and meetings.  Solutions will be architectured according to industry best practices and the current IT strategic plan for possible build/buy/reuse options.
