Sales Engineering Manager

This position is responsible for managing all aspects of Time Warner Telecom National Account sales engineering operation.  This position requires day-to-day management of resources in support of revenue objectives including but not limited to personnel and expense. overlay responsibly for revenue and applications activities including direct and in-direct end user involvements; internal/external value messaging; pre and post-sales activities; day-to-day account management; inter-departmental engagement.  The primary measurements of success are achievement of financial objectives, evolution and execution of team goals, fulfillment of Service Solution enrichment requirements.

 

?  Daily management of assigned personnel including but not limited to expenses, planning, goal-setting, resource allocation, objective management, negotiation, team management techniques, group problem solving, training and reporting.

?  The candidate must measure and guide team funnel activity, application support training, technology awareness, product expertise.

?  Establish individual and team MBOs enabled to fulfill individual and overall revenues objectives.

?  Relationship development with key customers assessing opportunity and applying application-selling skills meeting client business needs with value services.

?  This candidate must develop and mature inter-departmental relationships.

?  The candidate must develop strong linkages within the sales team in the pre-sale and utilize post sale/lifecycle resources to meet and address client business needs. 

?  The candidate will provide pre-sales technical support to TWTC sales force.  Support includes a wide range of technical activities for TWTC business customers, from creating leading edge WAN/MAN data networking architectural solutions to answering data networking questions.

?  Position requires in-depth knowledge and experience with technologies and internetworking associated to telecom legacy and next-generation services. Application expertise requires experience with customer computing environments, customer applications, data communication technology. 

?  Completes planning for assigned territory, including development of strategies to satisfy company objectives; customer needs analysis; sales opportunity developments; and creation of long-range account management strategies.

?  Conducts proactive sales activities, including proactive needs assessment, applications development, proposal presentation, order negotiation and post-sales service requirements.

?  Negotiates contracts internally, with MIS/ Telecommunications Managers in order to achieve revenue growth and retention.

?  Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes in the services; industry standards; technology advancement.

?  Supports others within the sales/service team to achieve customer satisfaction.

Other duties as assigned.

 

Bachelor?s Degree in Business Mgmt or Telecommunications preferred.

Technical Certifications within Technology Industry preferred
