Sales & Marketing Manager

Cortelco, Inc., providing a wide variety of communications products for home and business, is seeking a talented and motivated individual to direct sales and marketing Department.  Individual will be based in Corinth, MS, with responsibility for selling Cortelco products through both domestic and export channels by leading and directing efforts of Cortelco Field Sales Team, distributors and rep firms.  This position reports to the President/CEO.

This unique individual must possess excellent communications skills in customer relations, be aggressive in targeting new business and will be expected to exceed established goals for all market segments.

Responsibilities include developing, managing, and guiding sales activities for the organization. Proposes and executes policies and programs to achieve maximum sales volume potential for products and/or services. Designs and applies the sales strategy and sales plan.  Visits key distributors/customers/markets to evaluate operations and provides supervision and leadership to regional sales managers.  

Involved with product development, identification of new business opportunities and the development of marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives.  Assists with evaluation of customer research, market conditions and competitive data.  Must understand the principles of marketing and promotion cost-effectiveness.

Must be able to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance such as gross margin percentages and calculations, depreciation, capital and revenue expenditure, cash-flow, overheads, etc.

Requirements:

? College degree or its equivalent with at least 10 years of experience in the telecommunications field or in a related area.

? Ability to recruit, train, supervise and motivate sales staff and monitor team performance.

? Familiarity and experience with telecom hardware sales.

? Understanding of networking, VoIP and telecom applications.

? Ability to maintain administrative and relevant reporting and planning systems.

? Computer literate with knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite. 

? Understanding of CRM concepts, practices and procedures.

? Superior written and oral communications skills.

? Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to set priorities for self.

? Must live in geographical area near Cortelco corporate office at Corinth, MS and be willing to travel.
