About the Position

 

Subject Matter Expert (SME) role representing Security Practice methodology and offerings.  Security Solutions Manager will participate in customer facing meetings to identifies customer business initiatives, assesses opportunities and recommend a value-added security solution.  Maintain focus in the deliver of the security solution proposed.

 

Uses knowledge of Network Security technology and NEC professional services, as well as the customer's business, to assess situations and to create appropriate integration services, consultative services and security products.  Exhibits a deep understanding of specific security services and a broad knowledge of all service offerings within the company.  Responsible for providing the subject matter expertise  to assist NEC Account Managers in the new account development and the expansion of existing accounts within North America.  Develops relationships at appropriate management levels.  Identifies further opportunities for additional business.

 

QualificationsExhibits thorough knowledge of security solutions, including services and products, and a complete knowledge of competitive products and activities.3-5 years as a Security Solutions Consultant or equivalent.5-10 years relevant business and/or technical experience.Significant sales experience.Bachelor?s degree or equivalent.Ability to evaluate, diagnose and solve problems.Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and activities.Ability to plan and to execute to a plan.Ability to maintain objectivity and integrity in all customer and team communications, interactions and sales.Ability to operate all necessary equipment, including, but not limited to, computers and telecommunications and networking equipment.Ability to travel to dealer and customer sites.Ability to read, interpret and correctly operate from instructions and specifications.Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately with other employees, engineers, customers, vendors, dealers, management and executives.Ability to work trade shows.
