Senior Consulting Manager, Wireless Systems

 

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Senior Wireless System Engineering consultant for a Wireless project with a North American Tier 1 Wireless Carrier. This individual will lead a consultancy project to assess and review a segment of our client?s business process. The consultant will assess our client's currently deployed technology and provide an analysis of the solution and recommendations for changes and improvements in the technology going forward. The candidate will review a technology solution deployed by the carrier to improve network performance. The solution is geared towards improving the RF performance of the network. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing the effectiveness of this solution to date and providing recommendations on how it can be improved.

   



Senior Manager candidates must have:

 

?  Experience managing and delivering large scale consulting implementations

?  Experience leading project teams and mentoring team members

?  Significant relevant consulting experience

?  Bachelor?s Degree; an advanced degree preferred

?  Strong communication and leadership skills

?  Candidates must be willing to travel to client locations

 

Ideal candidates will have experience in one or more of the following areas:

 

 

Wireless Carrier Technology

 Wireless networking technologies with indepth knowledge of GSM/GPRS/EDGE technologies The candidate will have system engineering experience, along with a strong knowledge of cellular network technologies and radio network design functions.Experience in optimization of GSM/GPRS/EDGE/WCDMA networks is a plus. Carrier and/or infrastructure services and solutions experience Telecommunications industry experience, particularly in carrier networks, focused on access network and implementation. Client and account management experience Proven experience building and leading a results oriented team.Strong leadership skill and an understanding of project management methodologies are imperative for success

 

 

Responsibilities:

 This candidate will lead a consulting project to review existing technology deployed by the customer.The candidate will review the existing solution and provide an in-depth analysis on the strengths and weakness? of the solution deployed to date.The candidate will manage a team of consultants working on the project. The candidate will be responsible for their work assignments, monitoring their activities and ensuring they deliver quality work on schedule.The candidate will be responsible for providing analysis on wireless network infrastructure for the major Cellular technologies: GSM/GPRS/EDGE.The candidate will review a technology solution deployed by the carrier to improve network performance.  The candidate will also be responsible for providing technical leadership to other team members for assigned product development projects. Prepare and present management reports and technical presentations. Establish and manage required resources for identified projects, determine resource contentions and recommend solutions.Proactively seeks to understand customer needs and provides solutions to them.
