SUMMARY
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Senior Software Engineer is responsible for developing object-oriented software for communications equipment in C and C++, design, schedule, debug and test new products in conjunction with hardware engineering as well as support existing product lines. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Embedded systems development Board and System Level Architecture C and C++ Object Oriented development Graphical User Interface SNMP Network Management TCP/IP and Routing Protocols HDLC, PPP, MP ink Layer Protocols Single and Multiprocessor, Distributed Real Time Systems TDM and Packet Switching Ethernet, ATM, SONET, E1, T1, T3,, OC3,, Transport Protocols Any other duties as assigned by management
EXPERIENCE Minimum of 5 years experience in the tele/data communications industry Knowledge of : Statistical analysis methods. Passive and active component characteristics and behavior relative to various stimulus. Basic concepts of algebra and elementary calculus. Basic circuit analysis, and the interaction of electronic components.
EDUCATION BS/Masters/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent
